Simon was raised on the South coast of South Africa. Growing up at the sea lead to a childhood heavily involved with water sports. Simon is an avid scuba diver and free diver, although his first love has always been surfing. He played waterpolo for his high school and university and after graduating he worked as an airline pilot for 6 years in Africa and the Middle East. 

A sailing holiday with friends in 2017 inspired him to obtain his Yachtmaster license. The sailing life then took ahold, and Simon has been working on boats ever since. Starting out as a deckhand on a 38 meter sail boat in France, Simon went on to become a lead skipper for a flotilla company in the Mediterranean, and has done two Atlantic crossings delivering new Leopard catamarans to their owners. 

Simon also has a passion for cooking, hosting and entertaining, and is very excited to show you some amazing spots around the Caribbean!
